Long ago, back in the Stone Age, I was a fashion design student. Despite my training, I never worked as a designer until I discovered latex clothing making in 2003.
I started Essential Latex when I lived in Copenhagen and wanted to supplement my income as a shop assistant. It quickly grew to an online shop, and really took off through collaborations with photographers and models across the globe.
The Danish chanteuse Stine Jacobsen was a huge inspiration, and the work I did for her was a highlight of my career.
While I struggled through cancer treatment in 2013, my shop was my life’s blood and supported me throughout. My menswear with a good friend allowed me to further my skills as a designer and manufacturer, and his commissions kept me from homelessness.
I no longer make latex clothing, but I wanted to save some of the work online for posterity.
